Three years ago, we started Front with the vision of building the first inbox for teams. At the time, some email clients were targeting teams, but none of them had any meaningful functionality to make collaboration actually work at the inbox level. I’m talking about the ability to assign an email to a team member, or to collaborate internally without the constant headache of CCs and BCCs, or to reply in your name to a message sent to a shared address, just to name a few. With more than 1600 companies using Front daily, I can say with confidence that these features were long overdue.
Today we’re bringing this vision to the mobile world, where most email clients are still single player tools. We’re excited to release Front for Android, bringing every communication channel (email, SMS, twitter, facebook etc.) together inside a simple, fast mobile app. The app is packed with all the features that made Front’s desktop version successful: assigns, comments, mentions, reminders, real-time collision detection, snooze, and more.
Here is what you can find in the app:
All your team inboxes in one place
Archive or delete conversations
Assign a conversation to a teammate
Write internal comments and @mentions
Snooze conversation and add reminders
Use message templates
Collaborative drafts
Real-time collision detection
In-app notifications
Move conversations from one inbox to another
Upload all types of attachments, not only images
Share conversations
Sign-in with SSO
Okay, back to work for us. We hope you’ll download Front for Android and let us know what you think!
